Vacant position. Vigo IKS is an inter-municipal company owned by all of Norway's county authorities and the City of Oslo. The company's most important task is to simplify, improve and renew public administration through the development of shared IT solutions. Our main focus is on higher education, transport and technology, but we also contribute in several other areas to digitize public administration in Norway. We are a growing company and in this vacancy we are looking for a skilled and committed Service Level Manager to join one of our service teams!

Duties and responsibilities

As a Service Level Manager with us, you will play a key role in building up our service apparatus. You will be responsible for establishing and following up on measures to ensure efficient operation and management of products and services in the service team. The team is responsible for software for planning, engineering and development of road projects. You will work closely with both project managers and service managers. We currently monitor digital services developed internally and externally. The services are delivered both directly and through system suppliers.

You will have particular responsibility for maintaining a holistic overview of services, processes and products, and how these interact to enable value creation on the customer side. This includes good communication and information to all county authorities (the customer) and suppliers.

Work tasks may include:

  • Responsibility for following up that the service deliveries from the supplier are in accordance with the contract, SLA (Service Level Agreement) requirements.
  • Identification of the needs of the county authorities and communication of further development wishes.
  • Follow-up of error management according to SLA. SLA and coordination of the need for reprioritization and improvement measures.
  • Coordination and follow-up of security incidents that affect several county authorities.
  • Follow-up of contracts regarding management and operation of integration test environments. Coordination of new needs related to environments, and providing a basis for negotiations on behalf of the county authorities to ensure good service quality.
  • Regular contact with the counties' system manager to follow up on the counties' perception of service quality.
  • Tasks and responsibilities may change according to the company's needs.

What does it take to succeed?

To succeed and thrive in the position, you must have a good understanding of IT and the ITIL framework, as well as knowledge of other relevant frameworks and methods. A relevant education is also desirable. However, good experience and practice can compensate for a lack of education. We want you to have experience as a service manager, project manager or similar, and with the design and follow-up of ICT contracts and software. Expertise in service design, process mapping, process improvement and benefit realization will be advantageous. An understanding of the transportation sector will also be emphasized. You must also have good Norwegian language skills, both orally and in writing.

We also encourage candidates with other similar experience and recent graduates with relevant education to apply.
